David Reneau

David began his career in financial services in 1996 with Mutual of Omaha, where he obtained his Series 6 and Series 63 registrations. By 1998, he had added his Series 7, Series 24 Principal registration, and Series 66, becoming a full-time Financial Advisor with CUNA Brokerage.

Over the years, David worked with several of the nation’s largest independent broker-dealers, including Edward Jones, Raymond James, and First Allied. In April 2009, he joined Summit Brokerage Services as an Independent Financial Advisor. Summit was later acquired by Cetera Financial Networks in 2019.
David’s office is located in the Heritage Tower in downtown Columbus. A lifelong resident of Columbus, Georgia, he attended Baker High School and Columbus College.

In 2023, David’s daughter, Lisi Chilkuri, joined the business, and together they launched Reneau Wealth Advisors. In 2025, David stepped down from his role as Wealth Advisor and now serves as a consultant and assistant to Lisi. Enjoying semi-retirement, he looks forward to traveling whenever he’s not in the office.

David and his wife, Carol Ann, have four children. Their eldest son, David, is the head pastor at Encounter Church in Toccoa, Georgia. Their daughter, Lisi, is continuing the family legacy at Reneau Wealth Advisors. Their son Garrett is a retired U.S. Marine and works on post, and their youngest daughter, Morgan, is a University of Georgia graduate now attending law school. The family welcomed its fifth grandchild in January 2019.
